VeganMofo is but a pretense for my cook-a-thon. Probably three out of four weekends, after I go to the grocery store(s) I cook up enough food for a family of eight, filling the fridge and freezer. This would be ok if Stef and I could eat everything during the week and refrain from any additional cooking (salads don’t count); however, one or both of us usually wants a treat or a special meal, so then more things get cooked or baked and then those leftovers go in the freezer too. Pictured here is just the fridge, I might post a freezer picture later in the month. Le sigh.
Charlie judges me from his pink blanket.
My fridge is the same way. Of course, during Vegan Mofo I somehow manage to eat more food too.
Nothing wrong with that!
I really should pick a day and make a bunch of food. I always really want to do it, but never get around to it.
Mo- during the week, S and I are so busy that it’s hard to cook really good stuff and eat it before 11 PM, so cooking a lot a few times a week really helps. Plus, it’s a great way to make sure to use all the old vegetables and things in the fridge so they don’t go to waste.
Cats are very judge-y people. Don’t take it personally.
Sundays are my cookings days. I usually cook for 4 – 6 hours… and then sleep like a log.
I’d say that’s a well deserved nap!
