Ginger Rum Hot Toddy

This will cure what ails you.


For two drinks:

2 cups water
8 one-quarter-inch  slices fresh ginger
1/4 tsp ground cloves
2 tsp sugar
1/4 tsp cinnamon
pinch of nutmeg
1 tsp vanilla
4 ounces of Rum (2 for each serving)
Pinch of nutmeg

Bring water to a boil, then add ginger, cloves, sugar, and cinnamon. Simmer for 3 minutes. Fill two mugs with rum and vanilla. Then strain the boiling ginger water into the rum. Add a dash of nutmeg and stir.
